University of East Anglia
Norwich, England
Founded in 1963, the University of East Anglia (UEA) is spread over 300 acres of parkland, located 1.5 miles from the medieval cathedral city of Norwich. From all parts of University Plain, as the campus is known, there are open views across the river to woods, meadows and playing fields. The buildings are grouped together, following the natural contours of the land and linked by elevated pedestrian walkways that provide high-level walks between teaching buildings and residences, restaurants, snack bars and the library. UEA is home to about 15,000 students.
