Kayla Karp, an International Business major at Temple University, worked as a branding intern at Catapult Brands Group where she assisted with establishing the branding, distribution and packaging of a soon-to-be-released luxury tea. Kayla researched new luxury industries in order to brand this luxury item within a niche market, which allowed her to see a product develop from the idea stage to the production stage.
The internship provided Kayla with the opportunity to test her adaptability to a new culture, while improving her Italian language skills. It allowed her to see the culture and etiquette of doing business in Rome, as well as giving her an in-depth understanding of the global supply chain process. Working with Mr. Kaminstein provided Kayla with many networking opportunities, which showed her the importance of creating meaningful business relationships in any industry.
What has been most rewarding about her experience with the internship is how much it has put Kayla out of her comfort zone. It allowed her to explore interests she didn’t even know were possible. The opportunity forced her to think outside the box and challenge herself. Kayla’s involvement in CBG has generated a whole new confidence in business and in life that she will take with her in her personal and professional life.
