Hey, Im Jenn and I was a super senior here at Temple (meaning I took a fifth year!). I transferred to Temple for my junior year and was an STHM student. In 2016, I had a great opportunity to help with the orientations for students studying abroad here at Temple, as well as studied abroad myself at Temple University Japan in Tokyo for the academic year of 2014-2015. Studying abroad has been a life changing and eye opening experience. One experience that greatly changed my views was an internship at the Tokyo American Club. Before the program I had plans of graduating and moving to Japan to work in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry. But now, after experiencing the difference in work culture, I am more cautious about pursuing my previous plans. I have learned more about the culture, myself and the difficulties that could arise living and working in a foreign country. Not only that, but I was also able to travel outside the country and fell in love with Korea and its culture. Both places have captured my heart and have opened my eyes to something new. They have taught me to be independent, to not be afraid to try bold new things and to explore and find everything a location has to offer. I have never walked so much or enjoyed getting lost to discover hidden places and really be immersed in the culture with local people. Even if it meant waiting another year to graduate, I wouldn't hesitate to experience it all over again.
