Hola! I’m Cassandra (or Cassie), and I’ll be studying abroad in Oviedo, Spain for the spring of my junior year. I chose to immerse myself in the Spanish culture to further pursue my passions for language and storytelling. Inspired by Spain’s history and its connection to my Puerto Rican roots, I craved opportunities to build a deeper relationship with myself, my voice, and my own culture. I’m interested to see the influence Spain has on the rest of Latin America and how it translates into architecture, literature, traditions, and even my own Latinx identity. I’m so excited to grow and learn from the bumps and bruises that will arise as I navigate a new country on my own. I’m even more excited to be able to share those lessons. I can’t wait to connect and take you along on all my new adventures!
