Hi everyone, I’m Carter Wynne! I'm originally from Washington, D.C. and I studied at Colby College majoring in art history and women, gender, and sexuality studies. I spent my spring semester of 2019 studying at Temple University’s campus in Tokyo, Japan. I’ve always been extremely fascinated by Japanese art, from Edo period painting to Takashi Murakami, and I can’t wait to delve into that realm more deeply while studying abroad. In addition to my passion for Japanese art, I’m also a committed social activist and a proud woman of color. I am thrilled to explore my curiosities in Tokyo, while using my distinctive perspective to share my narrative!
"My greatest hope is that my experience living in Tokyo will help me to reimagine and deconstruct my own perspective and biases towards myself and the world that surrounds me."
